Who we are

CLX Events provides 360 photo booth hire in Hull and East Yorkshire. We are the "controller" of the personal details you give us, which means we decide how they are used. You can reach us at clx2events@gmail.com or on 07877 762445.

What we collect

Only what you choose to send us when you enquire or get in touch: your name, email address, phone number if you give one, the type and date of your event, the venue or town, roughly how many guests, and anything you write in the message box.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

We use your details to reply to your enquiry, check availability, prepare a quote and, if you book, run your event. The law gives us a basis for this: you have asked us to take steps before a contract, and we have a legitimate interest in answering the people who contact us. We don't sell your details, we don't use them to market to you without asking, and we don't make automated decisions about you.

How the enquiry form works

The form opens your own email app with your enquiry filled in, ready for you to send to us. If you don't have an email app set up, you can choose to write it in Gmail instead, which opens a message in your own Gmail account, or copy the text. Nothing reaches us until you press send in your email. If we change this to a form service, we'll say which one here.

Who else handles your details

• Our email provider. Enquiries arrive in a Google Mail inbox, so Google handles them in the usual way for email. Your own email provider handles them on your side.
• Our website host. This website is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any host, it processes technical details such as your IP address to deliver the pages and keep them secure. We don't use that information ourselves.

Some of these companies are based outside the UK. They are responsible for protecting your details under their own terms and UK data protection law.

Cookies and tracking

This website doesn't set cookies of its own and has no analytics or advertising trackers. Its fonts are hosted on the site itself, so loading them doesn't pass your visit to another company.

Links to other sites

The links to our Instagram and Facebook pages take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies and may use cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to answer you and to run any booking that follows, and for as long as the law requires us to keep records of a booking. If you enquire and don't book, ask us to delete your details at any time.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the details we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete them, ask us to restrict how we use them, and object to our use of them. Email us and we'll deal with it. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your details, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
